The Shimano Ultegra BR-R8070 Front Disc Brake comes with a lightweight design and effective braking capabilities that make it suitable for riders of all skill levels. It's made specifically for flat-mount forks and makes moving between 140mm and 160mm rotors simple. The opposed 2-piston design reduces the leading effect and encourages ideal pad wear for better braking control, while the larger 22mm ceramic pistons improve heat insulation. Rotor drag is less likely when there is greater pad-to-rotor clearance, and fast wheel replacement is made easier by the direct flat mount design.

Its one-way internal fluid circuit makes bleeding easier, and its forged caliper design is both stiff and lightweight. Compared to conventional hydraulic fluids, this brake system is safer since it uses non-corrosive mineral oil brake fluid. For optimal performance, it is advised to use the shim-less mounting bracket with Ice Tech FREEZA Centre-Lock RT-MT800 rotors. This mounting bracket guarantees a speedy installation.
